Quote from Chief Hyams
"Welcome to Los Angeles and Los Angeles International Airport. Not only is your safety at the airport our priority, but a positive passenger experience is our goal. We are investing over $4 billion to modernize LAX which includes upwards of $600 million in direct improvements to passenger safety and security, including increased police personnel, improved runway and pilot warning systems, and upgraded emergency response facilities and equipment. Since September 11, 2001, more than $1.6 billion has been invested to make LAX safer and more secure.
For more than 80-years, LAX has been leading Los Angeles into the future – creating jobs, driving our local economy, connecting greater metropolitan LA to the world, and the world to LA. The future is landing at LAX, and it is LAneXt. For more information on all of the exciting changes taking place visit www.la-next.com."
Airport police and security officers throughout the airport are ready to provide any needed assistance during your transit. I look forward to an exciting and meaningful conference and to meeting many of you."
